Swords and Stitches-Old Sewing and Tabletop RPG Blogs: A Study in Scarlet-Meeting Kane

After the last session, I had to plan and somehow reorganize from the latest challenges. The “Big Beast” literally left and we were on our way to the PC room. But when I knocked on the door, I got caught up in a bigger problem and an NPC. A stranger called me. A man with hooded eyes, red hair, and a murderer’s gaze beyond the recorded time. He introduced himself as easily as “General Kane”, the “stakeholder” of our exploit. Some of us had already read Karl Edward Wagner The story of Kane who knew who and what we were dealing with.

We had to step on this NPC carefully, and we all knew it, he told us he knew where he was

The “cup of others” was whether we were willing to turn it over “Winter regret ring”. Well, we actually testified that he had the preparations and equipment for our party. Our adventurer’s party fell asleep, and in the morning we found Kane found nowhere. I was relieved. But when we opened the doors of the inns around us, where the city was devastated after the block, we were surprised at our lives. And a letter from Kane warning of Chaos Road, “things in a red robe,” the ruler of this plane.
Now in late autumn of 1991, I switched to the 4th edition of “Stormbringer RPG”. There are three reasons for this. The games were relatively cheap, readily available as many players discarded their copies, and two game shops sold used games. The system was immediately familiar and easy to grasp.

When our party wandered the empty streets of the cityscape, there were abandoned shops and lots of animals. Then we were about to be torn by the transformation of young kingdom cults and humans into beastmen. These were our old friends ‘Queen Xiombarg‘. But there was a break as the strange red shabby devil dog was torn by them! There was a map to go to the largest museum in the city. We also found that the rapidly rotting body of the boar warrior had a red, bulging face as if wearing a red mask.
We knew that our dungeon master was a fan of Edgar Allan Poe, but there was another writer who loved the American writer Jack London. Jack London wrote “The Scarlet Plague”.

And “Things in the red robe” It was a direct reference to the ruler of chaos in this area. ‘EmbodimentRed death has walked this earth. It clearly didn’t like intruders or visitors to that domain.

So how did you try to escape from this plane? !! Sure, there was a transport demon at our party, but we had a mission. “Things in the red robe” were waiting for us. We needed answers, help, and insight into our situation, otherwise the party died!
